I puchased a replacement lamp from another retailer which turned out to be a not so bright idea. There lamp faded quickly and i was left in the dark. Then I found ONE CALL got the right lamp for my Sony Pearl at a price that didnt leave my wallet light. Now movies and popcorn at my place are always a bright idea!!!Thanks One Call

The real deal

This is the only lamp that will last. I typed this review in a system that has this lamp runnnig for 2970 hours, and it still has acceptable brightness. Other generic lamp I bought lasted a day and its replacement lasted only 3 months. I just received a new one from Onecall, and I was happy to see it was the real deal-a genuine Sony lamp.

FYI: the lamp ships with a filter which is a thin foam strip.The onecall salesman verified this for me. The salesman was a lot of help. I'd buy from onecall again.The Sony website doesn't indicate this, and I couldn't find anywhere on the web that indicated this. However the manual with the projector clearly states to replace the filter at the same time as the lamp.I got about 1300 hrs of life out of my original bulb.
It really was easy!

One call [...] price was "the best". Removal & installation was very easy. Although Onecall had the best price (matched another low priced vendor) these lamps are too expensive to be replacing every 2yrs.
